Helping to Support Teaching and Learning

Versatile Teaching: Base Ten sets are useful for teaching Maths topics from addition to algebra in KS1 and KS2. They support many mathematical concepts.
Classroom Size: This Base Ten Set is suitable for classes of up to 25 children, ensuring that every child can participate in hands-on learning activities.
Durable Materials: Constructed from durable materials, each block displays centimetre squares to highlight how each unit relates to it, enhancing the learning experience.
Supports Place Value: Helps children recognise the place value of each digit in three-digit and four-digit numbers, supporting key curriculum aims in Years 3 and 4.
Number Representation: Aids in identifying, representing, and estimating numbers using different representations, including the number line, aligning with Year 2 curriculum goals.

Help children understand the relationship between ones, tens, hundreds and thousands.

Children progress to a deeper understanding of place value without relying on multi-colour sets, focusing on key mathematical concepts.

The Blue Base 10 School Class Set is ideal for teaching addition, subtraction, multiplication, division by 10, decimals, algebra, and place value. Each block is marked in centimetre squares, demonstrating the relation of each unit and providing a clear visual understanding of mathematical concepts.

Aligning with the UK curriculum, this set aids in recognising the place value of each digit in three-digit and four-digit numbers. It helps children identify, represent, and estimate numbers using different representations, including the number line, ensuring effective grasp of essential mathematical skills.
Made from durable materials, the set includes 600 cubes (ones), 200 rods (tens), 20 flats (hundreds), and 3 blocks (thousands). These components suffice for use by up to 25 children simultaneously, making it a practical and comprehensive classroom resource for hands-on numerical exercises.
