Children need engaging outdoor problem-solving activities. Our outdoor maths problem-solving cards offer this, enhancing learning by taking activities outside. Each card features a starting visual and an activity or investigation, encouraging critical thinking and discussion. Colour-coded by year group, they align with the National Numeracy Framework, integrating easily into lesson plans.

For Key Stage 2 mathematics, the cards help children solve multi-step problems, decide on operations and methods, and represent and estimate numbers. They also promote spoken language skills by encouraging relevant questions to extend understanding.
Made from laminated A5 drywipe card, these durable cards include thirty per year group, each with key questions, vocabulary, suggested resources, and suitability for various settings. Special thanks to Hazel and Ruth from Gloucester for their contributions.
