Pulse and Oximeter

A simple tool for monitoring pulse rate and oxygen levels, tailored for educational settings.

Overview

Provides accurate readings that help children observe changes due to exercise, enhancing their learning experience in science.

This educational pulse oximeter is designed for children to explore human physiology effectively by monitoring pulse rates and oxygen saturation with just a simple placement on the finger. It offers a hands-on approach to learning about the circulatory system, demonstrating live changes in the body during exercises or rest.

The device is ideal for teaching scientific principles by aiding in systematic observations and measurements. Children learn precision by taking repeated readings and comparing data, fostering an environment of enquiry-based learning.
Apart from enhancing science lessons, the oximeter, with its compact and robust design, serves as a reliable resource for demonstrating scientific concepts. It effectively supports the curriculum by making abstract concepts tangible, enhancing both teaching and learning experiences.
Brand may vary. Please note; the pulse meter is for educational purposes only and should not be used as a medical device.

Supports the National Curriculum

Science, Year 6, Animals, including Humans

Identify and name the main parts of the human circulatory system, and describe the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood.

Science, Lower Key Stage 2, Working Scientifically

Making systematic and careful observations and, where appropriate, taking accurate measurements using standard units, using a range of equipment, including thermometers and data loggers.

Science, Upper Key Stage 2, Working Scientifically

Taking measurements, using a range of scientific equipment, with increasing accuracy and precision, taking repeat readings when appropriate.
