These fun-to-sequence story tiles are designed to help children write creatively.

Children place the illustrated story tiles in order on their mat, then use the pictures to write their own story step-by-step.

Teachers can use these story tiles to enhance children’s writing skills. Children sequence the illustrated tiles to organise their thoughts and create coherent narratives. This structured and creative approach makes writing engaging and aligns with the Year 2 English curriculum.

The tiles support writing composition by encouraging children to describe settings, characters, and plot developments, aiding in narrative skills. They assist with writing transcription by helping children write simple sentences using common exception words and punctuation.
Key word suggestions on the back of each tile provide necessary vocabulary, keeping children focused. The set includes ten sequencing mats and sixty story tiles for various activities.
